Founder & Editor, Ownswho

Hello, I'm Christian L. Dam, founder of Ownswho.

I research and write about who really owns what, from listed conglomerates to closely held holdings. The goal is plain: turn dense filings, share-class structures and acquisition trails into something a curious reader can actually use.

Reports are built from primary sources wherever they exist: regulatory filings, company registries and corporate disclosures, linked inline so you can check the claim against the document. Where a company is private and no filing exists, I say so rather than filling the gap with a confident guess.

AI tools help me gather candidate sources and draft. They are not the author. I set the argument, open every source I cite, and take responsibility for what goes out. If a report is wrong, that is on me, and I will correct it.

What this is not: I am an engineer who reads filings carefully, not a lawyer, an accountant or a licensed financial adviser. Ownswho summaries interpret public information. They simplify, they do not replace the source documents, and they are not legal, tax or investment advice.

My interest in corporate ownership was sparked by the Acquired.fm podcast, which traces the stories behind landmark acquisitions and business deals. Ownswho is my attempt to make the same kind of clarity available, on demand, for the brands you already know.

Background: 25, based in Copenhagen, Denmark, holding a Master's in Mechanical Engineering from Aalborg University. Earlier chapters include accountancy, engineering, consulting, teaching and music, a useful mix when reading balance sheets and royalty structures.
